Before I discovered Hot Rod Kulture my main influence was the british Rockers from the fifties and sixties. With greasy hair, cuffed jeans and rockabilly on the jukebox they were pretty much the same as hot rodders, although they used other means of transportation. In 1996 I spent a large part of my savings on this BSA. It was in decent shape and, most importantly, it was driveable. Immediately a cycle started with periods of thrashing around on windling back roads iterrupted by planned partial restorations or unplanned breakdowns.
